Where are practices held? Practices are planned to be held at Baker Elementary, but this is subject to change as the club works to secure a site supervisor.
What are the practice days and times?
For K-4th graders, practices are typically on Mondays or Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
For 5th-8th graders, practices are all three days (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday) from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Can my child try a practice before committing? Yes, your child is welcome to observe a practice or attend the beginner camp before committing. You can register them without charge until the first practice. An AAU card would need to be purchased for them to participate in a practice session.
What does the $200 registration fee cover? The $200 registration fee covers facility usage, mat cleaning supplies, future equipment, and both USA Wrestling and AAU memberships for insurance purposes. It also includes a full gear package (t-shirt, shorts, hoodie, and sweatpants).
Are tournament fees included in the registration fee? No, tournament fees are not included in the registration fee and typically range from $15 to $30 per tournament.
What equipment is needed? Wrestlers will need wrestling shoes and headgear (headgear is only required for tournaments).
When does the season run? The season starts in November concludes during the last week of February.
How do tournaments work? Tournaments are optional and typically held on Saturdays and Sundays. Exhibition matches with other local clubs are also coordinated during regular practice nights.
